aka Phil Southward, our intrepid hang gliding pilot and author.
Phil was born in the small town of Lower Hutt, a suburb of the big, for New Zealand standards, capital city Wellington. After completing an unremarkable few years at school, he went on to travel and work an unremarkable number of years in the IT industry. After making the mistake of marrying the Sauerkraut, Phil moved to Munich where he lives today. Phil has two great little girls, a hang glider, motorcycle and a number of toy Porsches.
The Sauerkraut
alternatively known as The Frau, although only in her better moments.
The Frau was born in the even smaller town of Seelbach, a suburb of the small, for German standards, already small town of Herborn. After completing her degree in the record time of seven years, the Frau made the mistake of travelling to Wellington in New Zealand where in one beer filled evening she met the man of her dreams, but somehow ended up with Phil. The Frau, strangely, also has two great little girls, but no hang glider, no motorcycle and certainly no toy Porsches.
